Hunter Pup learns his name

*the next day he headed down to where the pack tended to stay and soon found the little hunter Pup* ok, ready to go see if we can find your name? *coughing lightly on his smoke*
Pup: *hops onto Danny's shoulder with a grin* you bet!
*Danny heads off in the direction of the lab they were both trapped in and tortured for so long, even without being able to see the Pup can tell when they finally get there by the way Danny kinda tenses up*
Pup: ...we...we're here, aren't we...*grips onto Danny's shoulder, sort of shrinking down and lets out a tiny whimper*
*Danny lightly pats him with one of his tongues*
Danny: y-yeah but no one’s here, it looks like it did after the explosion... *taking a deep breath having not really wanted to willingly enter this place again he climbs in though a broken and burnt window*
Pup: *sniffing around at the area* There's a lot of ash in the air...and rotting bodies...*holds onto Danny more tightly*
Danny: *pats him with a tongue while quickly hurrying past some burnt remains of scientists. Walks into the first room he comes two and starts looking around*
*the Pup hops off him, staying close but trying to feel things out*
Pup: Do-do you see anything?
Danny: *looking around the room* there doesnt seem to be anything in this room, it’s just the first of many though
Pup: *sighs and droops his head* I was hoping we could be in and out with my name quickly, but...
Danny: *reaches down and picks him up* I know... We’ll find it though *he walks into another room and walks right back out, there were burnt dead zombies in that room*
Pup: *feeling Danny tensing* ...should I even ask? *shudders involuntarily*
Danny: you dont wanna know... *heads into another room and starts looking around, finding only lab and testing supplies he quickly leaves that room*
Pup: How many rooms are left? *rocks back and forth on Danny's head, bored-like*
Danny: *walks down the burnt halls* not that many *walks into another room however this time he finds a fireproof cabinet. Walks up to it and sets Pup down so he can try to get it open*
Pup: *goes up to the cabinet after hearing Danny trying to open it and taps on it* is this it? *excitedly, hopping up and down* did we find it?
Danny: I dont know yet but this IS a fire proof cabinet, important things like documents are always stored in these *finally manages to pry it open and after having a mini coughing fit starts looking through it pulling out a few files to see how its categorized* ah ok alphabetical... h… h...h Ah there’s the H's *pulls out a stack of files in the H (hunter) category*
Pup: *hops up on top of the cabinet, leaning forward to listen to Danny* Yeah? Yeah, what's in there?
Danny: *looks through the files before finally finding one on a child that was brought in infected. Opens it and starts looking through it and finds a picture of the boy before fully infected* Hey, Pup lift up your hood for a second so I can see your face
Pup: *looks extremely hesitant, initially reaching for the hood before holding back his hand. After a few seconds, he cringes and pulls the hood down, covering his face for a second before moving his hands so Danny can see*
Danny: *holds the picture up to compare and grins* ok you can pull your hood down. I found it!
*he pulls his hood down and jumps on Danny's shoulder, panting like an excited dog*
Pup: READITREADITREADITREADIT
Danny: *scans the pages until he finds his name* your name was, Cody Stone
Pup: ...Cody Stone...*says it a few more times, letting it roll off the tongue*
Danny: Cody's a pretty cute name *pats him*
Cody: ...you think? ...*smiles a bit* so do I. I think I'll keep it. *nods* Yeah.
Danny: *smiles, coughing a bit* alright, let’s get out of here, Cody
Cody: *nods and smiles* Yeah. Come on.
Danny: *since Cody is still on his shoulders he walks out of that room and quickly makes his way out of that burnt building and starts heading back to where the rest of the Pack are*
Jack: *looks over as the walk up* where did you two go off to?
Cody: We went to...*reluctant to say "the lab" because he's still freaked by it* ...the place we could find my name at.
Jack: *tilts his head a little* it was still standing?
Danny: yeah *nods with a few coughs*. And we found his name
AJ: *comes up hearing his conversation* it was pipsqueak wasn’t it
Cody: It was Cody! Cody Stone!
Jack: Cody huh? ... Alright, that’s what we'll start calling you
AJ: awww but Runt is such a good name for him *before Jack is able to Danny actually thwaps him* OW Hey!
Jack: wow, nice slap there, Danny
Cody: *starts giggling before he begins laughing really, really hard*
*AJ heads off grumbling*
*As Jack takes Cody away to go back to the main pack, Danny goes up to his apartment, smiling as he remembers the happy look on Cody's face. He goes up to his floor, goes into one of the apartments, and starts building up a pillow fort while hearing the pack run past the building.*
